About Me

My photo
Atlanta, Georgia, United States
I have enjoyed every aspect of football since I can remember. The discipline and courage it takes to excel and play football has helped to shape my life whole heartedly. My football journey took me to Upper Moreland High School where I had the pleasure of playing against the best competition in southeastern PA. From there this great game allowed me to start 44 straights games at Cheyney University. I was blessed to play in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference, where they play the best football in all of division II. That journey allowed me to be invited into a couple of arena football camps. Football to me is the greatest game invented. As they stated in the movie "The Program" football isn't for everyone. We were the lucky ones. The sport builds character, heart, and perseverance. This is the game I love. please enjoy my blog. Proud Husband, Football Guru and Fanatic!!!!

Tim Tebow

Tim Tebow is dead set on proving his point to NFL scouts. Tebow just recorded a vertical leap of 38.5. tebow's 2010 combine leap bested Mike Vicks 36.5 from the 2001 combine.

Julius Peppers

Is it me or will the Eagles possibly be duped if they sign DE Julius Peppers. Last time I checked pass rush wasn't a main problem and even with Peppers it still might not be enough. The Eagles have to hope they get a motivated Peppers, not the $16 million man. A unmotivated Julius Peppers gets a huge deal in the city of brotherly love and doesn't perform could spell disaster. Benching Pro Bowl end Trent Cole for and unmotivated Peppers could be disaster. Peppers is known to be one of the more sensitive players in the NFL and I'm not sure if philly would be the right place.

Daryll Clark-QB-Penn St- 21

Toby Gerhart-RB-Stanford- 22
Montario Hardesty-RB-Tenn- 22
Dexter McCluster-RB-Ole Miss- 20
Jordan Shipley-WR-Texas-16

NFL Combine Notes- TE

A few notes from todays combine coverage:
Dorin Dickerson- TE- Pitt-   at 6'2 220lbs  Dickerson blazed a 4.40 in his 40 yard dash.  with so many teams depending on their TE to move the chains, I can't understand why he would be apprehensive about playing TE.  I mean lets weight the options.  Be a bulked up #3 or 4 wide receiver, or possibly become a big money TE in the mold of Vernon Davis.  Shouldn't be such a hard choice.

Jimmy Graham- TE- Miami- 6'6 230lbs   Graham ran a very good 4.68 in 40 yard dash and looked very impressive in the gauntlet and pass catching drills.  I for one am very intrigued by Graham and his Hurricane pedigree.  Being from the U gets him a early round pick in my book.

Jermaine Gresham- TE- Oklahoma- 6'5 260 lbs  The man i wanted to see.  Gresham ran a decent 4.77 40 yard dash and looked to be in very great shape.  I was interested in seeing his body language and character fresh off a whole year lost because of a knee injury.  Gresham ran good routes, caught the ball pretty well, and looks ready to give the NFL hell.

NFL

I was really impressed today watching the Offensive Lineman and Tight Ends workout. Bruce Cambell- Tackle from Maryland put on a show today for the scouts in attendance. At 6'6 300 plus pound Cambell blazed a 4.86 40 yard dash. A 32 inch vertical jump and some pretty decent footwork. Me myself I am still a little skeptical about him. He still is very raw having only started 19 games at tackle. I am really interested in seeing how he does as a lineman. I've always wondered why more athletic linemen or former defensive linemen don't try and make the switch. Maybe if Cambell has success a new trend of strong, athletic offensive linemen may hit the scene.

Combine

I am so excited about the 2010 NFL Combine.  I can't sleep.  I get goosebumps thinking about Suh and McCoy fighting over that #1 spot.  Is Sam Bradford the real deal?  Will the top 10 picks really be comprised of linemen?
Stay tuned here for continued coverage and opinions from me on this combine.  Oh what a great weekend.

Following A Dream

I am here now.  I learned early on that nothing is promised in life.  After years of doing the regular everyday, I'm ready.  In my opinion after of finally getting over my fear of failure and the unknown, i'm going to try my hand at this journalist thing.  I live and enjoy football on a daily basis.  I know what i'm talking about.  I have a voice.  So finally I am going to stop being afraid and follow my dreams.  Welcome to glennerby.blogspot.com where you will get football from Glenn's Point Of View.    I'm here to talk combine coverage, free agency, who should or should not be franchised, and so much more.  Wish me luck.  Please support me also.  If you disagree with a point of mine.  Let me have it.  Trust me.  I can handle it.

Sincerely;
